The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced two measures to support banking system liquidity on Friday via an open market operation (OMO) purchase of Rs 40,000 crore and a 43-day variable rate repo (VRR) operation worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore, which would reverse on May 30.
